Music industry types should check out Lyndon's Electronic Press Kit

Born Lyndon Richard Wesley in Geelong, Vic and raised on the West Australian mission fields, Lyndon developed a deep respect for the Aboriginal people and a keen interest in their culture. Early relationships with young aborigines centred around walkabouts, hunting, making milo-trucks and gings (kind of slingshot), playing doogs (marbles), riding homemade bicycles and of course, playing guitar.

Lyndon's earliest musical memory is, "scratching the brand name off my mother's much loved and well travelled upright piano." Fortunately this incident did not deter Lyndon's parents from purchasing a guitar for his seventh birthday.

With a record collection boasting such greats as Slim Whitman, Nana Maskouri, Pat Boone and The Sound Of Music, much of Lyndon's early influences can be attributed to his parents discerning tastes. But it was as a teenager that Lyndon broke the bonds of such a meagre collection, venturing into a brave new world of rock music, albeit thirty years after its incarnation.

After a shaky start on a diet of A-Ha, The Thompson Twins and Feargal Sharkey, Lyndon soon found his feet listening to bands such as Crowded House, U2, The Eagles and Baby Animals plus guitar-slingers Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Satriani and Tommy Emmanuel.

By seventeen, Lyndon was teaching guitar and at eighteen joined his first cover band. Having been smitten by songwriting for many years, Lyndon ventured out as a singer/songwriter in 1996 after returning from a tour of Australia with his fiancé. Many solo acoustic shows later his debut album, 'Stupid Adventures', spawned the Lyndon Wesley Band, which promoted the album to local audiences.

Lyndon is frequently compared to Neil Finn, who remains a big influence, and is likened to John Mayer and Rufus Wainwright.

Lyndon's music has been featured on local radio and television and his self-funded video clip, Too Late, screened on Rage & MTV. Tracks have also been placed in cable TV shows and on DVD. Lyndon has won numerous local songwriting awards including 'Best Song', 'Best Instrumental' and more recently runner-up in the 2002 and 2003 Ranges Festival Songsmith Award.

Lyndon is married to Breallyn and is father to sons Finn and Jet. Lyndon knows the exact location of every item in the supermarket, and when in Sydney he chooses to stay at the Sebel Townhouse.
